LAMONI - Graceland University's head football coach Nate Robinson has recently announced the signing of three new football players for the 2020-21 season. Dylan George, TJ Hopkins, and Matthew Poppa, all of Mound City, Mo., will join the Yellowjacket football team this upcoming fall.

George, a 6'0 185 lb defensive back and running back, was a two-time 1st Team All-District selection for defense and as a punt returner. In addition, he was 1st Team All State for defensive back, running back, and punt returner.

Hopkins will be a defensive end at 6'3 230 lbs where he was a three-time 1st Team All State player. He was also a two-time All State selection at fullback in high school.

Poppa was a three-time 1st Team All State and All-District selection at defensive back and wide receiver. Poppa could see time on both ends of the field to begin his career at Graceland.

The trio of Mound City Panther teammates were apart of back-to-back Missouri 8-Man State championships. All three student-athletes will be ready to join the program in August.

The Graceland University Athletic Department and the football program are excited to have Dylan, TJ, and Matthew join the Yellowjackets for next year and are looking forward to watching them rise through the ranks in their collegiate careers.
