Nate Robinson was officially introduced as the ninth head coach for Graceland University Football April 26, 2019, and now enters his second season at the helm of the Yellowjackets program.
Robinson has been a part of Graceland staff since 2014 and has held many roles on the Yellowjackets staff, serving as coach for running backs, wide receivers and special teams. In addition, he served as academic coordinator, director of football operations and junior varsity head coach. During his time at Graceland, he has coached one NAIA all-American, four first-team all-conference wide receivers, and students who broke the university’s records for both all-time receiving yards and career touchdowns.
Robinson brings nine years of experience and a strong knowledge of the game to the Graceland sidelines. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in the recruitment, development and mentorship of several players. Following completion of his bachelor’s degree, Robinson entered the coaching profession, coaching wide receivers at his alma mater, MacMurray College. At MacMurray, Robinson coached two all-conference selections, including receivers who broke school records for career and single-season receiving touchdowns. He then spent one year as running backs coach at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania, before accepting a coaching position with Graceland in 2014.
As a student-athlete, Robinson was a four-year member of the MacMurray College football squad and earned all-conference honors in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference and the Illini Badger Football Conference, was the 2009 MacMurray Special Teams Player of the Year and served as a team captain.
Robinson, a native of West Palm Beach, Florida, is a 2010 graduate of MacMurray College and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in sport management with minors in business management and coaching. He is a member of the American Football Coaches Association. He is married to Leslie (Piphus) Robinson, who works at Graceland as an academic student success coach for Student Support Services in the TRiO department.
