Bio
Destiny Campbell joins the Graceland University women’s wrestling program as Head Assistant Coach for the 2025–2026 season, bringing a championship pedigree, standout collegiate career, and deep experience mentoring and coaching young athletes. A relentless competitor and rising leader in women’s wrestling, Campbell adds energy and elite-level experience to the Yellowjackets' staff under Head Coach Evan Hansen.
Campbell competed collegiately for both Oklahoma City University and Iowa Wesleyan University, earning the distinction of 4x NAIA National Qualifier, 4x Scholar All-American, and 3x All-Conference honoree. She was an integral part of Oklahoma City’s 2025 Sooner Athletic Conference Championship team and was named a U20 Folkstyle All-American during her time on the national stage. A native of California, she also represented Team California as a 4x National Team member, helping secure national dual titles in both freestyle and Greco-Roman.
“Destiny has been immersed in the sport from a young age and knows what excellence looks like at every level,” said Graceland Head Coach Evan Hansen. “She’s a technician, a motivator, and a leader who will have an immediate impact on our program.”
In addition to her decorated athletic career, Campbell has years of experience coaching and mentoring youth wrestlers through her work with the Academy of Striking and Grappling, where she helped develop foundational skills in athletes aged 3–13. She also served in a wide variety of educational and support roles, including early childhood education, academic mentoring, and as a Physical Therapy Technician, where she guided patients through rehab and recovery.
Campbell is currently completing her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Sport Coaching and Human Performance from Oklahoma City University. She previously studied biology and competed for Iowa Wesleyan on scholarship. She is known for her leadership, empathy, and ability to connect with student-athletes in and beyond competition.
Campbell’s arrival at Graceland marks a continued investment in the growth and excellence of Yellowjacket women’s wrestling. With a focus on performance, discipline, and empowerment, she is poised to be a cornerstone of the program’s continued rise within the Heart of America Athletic Conference and NAIA competition.
