Graceland Adds Destiny Campbell as Head Assistant Women’s Wrestling Coach
LAMONI, Iowa — Graceland University has announced the hiring of Destiny Campbell as the new assistant coach for women's wrestling, adding a decorated collegiate athlete and experienced mentor to the Yellowjackets' coaching staff.
Campbell joins Graceland following a standout collegiate career at both Iowa Wesleyan University and Oklahoma City University. She is a four-time NAIA National Qualifier, four-time Scholar All-American, and three-time All-Conference honoree. She was a member of the 2025 Sooner Athletic Conference championship team at OCU.
In addition to her collegiate success, Campbell competed nationally as a four-time member of Team California's National Team. She contributed to team titles in both freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling at USA Wrestling's Fargo Nationals and National Duals events.
Campbell's coaching background includes youth mentorship and technical instruction at the Academy of Striking and Grappling in Southern California, where she worked with athletes aged 3 to 13. She brings experience in athlete development, education, and physical wellness through her previous work in early childhood education, collegiate mentorship, and as a physical therapy technician.
She is completing her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Sport Coaching and Human Performance from Oklahoma City University.
"Destiny is a phenomenal addition to our program," said Head Coach Evan Hansen. "Her experience on the mat, her leadership off of it, and her passion for developing young athletes make her an ideal fit for Graceland. I'm excited for the impact she's going to have—not just in competition, but in helping our student-athletes grow as people."
Campbell's addition reflects Graceland's continued commitment to growing its women's wrestling program and supporting student-athletes at all levels of competition.
