GU Volleyball Standouts Crabtree and Jabour Earn HAAC Honors
LAMONI, Iowa – Graceland University's women's volleyball team celebrates the recognition of two of its top athletes, senior outside hitter Brenna Crabtree (Fresno, Calif.) and sophomore libero Shelby Jabour (Mancos, Colo.), for their outstanding performances during the 2024 season. Crabtree was named to the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Second Team, while Jabour earned Honorable Mention.
Crabtree, a pivotal offensive leader, concluded the season with a team-high 371 kills, averaging 3.71 kills per set, and a .190 hitting percentage. Demonstrating her versatility, she also contributed defensively with 92 digs and totaled 34 blocks, including 32 block assists. Her ability to deliver in critical moments solidified her position as one of the top hitters in the conference.
Jabour anchored the Yellowjackets' back row with her exceptional defensive skills, leading the team in digs with 484, an impressive 4.79 digs per set. She was also a key player in serve-receive, successfully handling 176 receptions and adding 49 service aces to bolster Graceland's transition game. Her consistency and reliability made her a cornerstone of the team's defensive strategy.
These accolades reflect the dedication and talent of both athletes and underscore their contributions to the Head Coach Stew McDole and the women's volleyball program.
