Day One of the Mel Tjeerdsma Classic; Women’s Indoor Track and Field Takes on Pentathlon

Maryville, Mo. – (Results) Graceland University Women's Indoor Track and Field team took on day one of the Mel Tjeerdsma Classic.

The Yellowjackets had Ashlynn Perkins compete in the Pentathlon, she finished 7th overall.

Pentathlon:
7 – Ashlynn Perkins

60 m. Hurdles – 9 (11.09)
High Jump – 5 (1.49m.)
Shot Put – 6 (8.19m.)
Long Jump – 8 (4.01m)
800 m. Dash – 3 (2:24)

The Yellowjacket Men's Indoor Track and Field team competed in the Heptathlon on day one, and will conclude the event during day two of the Mel Tjeerdsma Classic. Competing in the Heptathlon is; Paul Marchand (1st), Parker Chamberlin (2nd) and Davy Bancey (3rd).
