Yankton, S.D. - The Graceland University Women's Soccer team went up against the Mount Marty University Lancers. The Yellowjackets defeated the Lancers, 4-0. The Yellowjackets start their season off 1-0.

Scoring:
First Half
In their first regular-season game, the Yellowjackets would dominate offensively. A pass by Caitlin Lageman to the corner would have Skye Hernandez get down to business, overpowering the defender. Hernandez worked her way to the first goal of the game and her first goal collegiately (10:21 minute mark). Caitlin Lageman would put her second assist on the board with an across-box pass to Chloe Montera, who footed the ball to the back of the net (2-0).

Second Half
In the second half, Graceland continued their fire. Mount Marty would push Graceland who earned a penalty kick for the foul. Skye Hernandez would take the kick and sink the ball past the goalkeeper for a 3-0 GU lead. Emily Carmen would sink the final goal with a heads-up play off the goalkeeper. The Yellowjackets would take the 4-0 victory.
