Siania Unutoa Named Heart Defensive Player of the Week
KANSAS CITY, MO - On Monday afternoon, the Heart Players of the Week were announced. Graceland University women's soccer goalkeeper, Manaia Siania Unutoa was named the Heart Defensive Player of the Week.
Head women's soccer coach Ozzie White said, "Manaia just gets better every game. She is the boss of her box and continues to make saves, inspire teammates, and help the team to a successful season."
Siania Unutoa has now garnered the honor twice in in the 2017 season and four times overall. The first team All-Heart of America Athletic Conference goalkeeper recorded a pair of saves in the 2-0 Heart Conference Tournament Quarterfinal victory over Grand View University. Sinania Unutoa picked up her seventh shutout of the season.
On the year, Siania Unutoa has made 70 saves and holds a save percentage of 0.843 percent.
The Graceland University women's soccer team will continue with post season play in the semifinals of the conference tournament on Wednesday, October 8 at Central Methodist University. The contest is set for 3 p.m.
