LAMONI, Iowa – Mikerline Apollon is the next athlete to sign with women's soccer, announced head coach Ozzie White.

Apollon, a native of Kent, Washington, attends Kent Meridian High School. Mikerline has played varsity soccer for four seasons and ran track for the Royals. In her spare time, she has volunteered her time to work in a homeless shelter.

The 5'2 defender is the daughter of Lorvana Washington. While at Graceland, Mikerine will pursue a degree in Nursing, while minoring in Biology.

"We are delighted to add Mikerline Apollon to the program," remarked White. "She brings athleticism, talent and a huge smile. She is truly excited to be a Yellowjacket and we are excited to welcome Mikerline."

The Graceland University Athletic Department and the women's soccer program are excited to have Mikerline join the Yellowjackets for next year, and are looking forward to watching her rise through the college rankings in her collegiate career.
