Douglas, Siania Unutoa & Faul Earn All-Conference Honors
KANSAS CITY, MO – Brooke Douglas, Manaia Siania Unutoa and Ashlee Faul have all earned Heart of America Athletic Conference honors.
Brooke Douglas, a senior midfielder, was named to the first team All-Heart. The Senior captain has started all 17 games for the Yellowjackets, totaling 30 shots this season. She has scored two goals and marked three assists on the year.
Manaia Siania Unutoa was the second player to earn all-conference honors. The Junior goalkeeper was recognized as the Newcomer of the Year and second-team All-Heart distinction. She owns a save percentage of 0.842 percent, totaling 80 saves on the season. Siania Unutoa has played in and started 16 games for the Jackets, earning Heart of America Defensive Player of the week two times.
The final player to receive conference recognition is Senior defender Ashlee Faul. Faul started 16 out of 17 contests. She compiled four goals and an assist on the season. Two of her goals came recently in the convincing 5-2 win over Culver-Stockton College on Senior Day.
The Yellowjackets currently hold a 7-8-2 mark on the year and will continue with the Heart of America Athletic Conference Tournament play on Friday. GU will travel to Olathe, KS to take on MidAmerica Christian University at 1 p.m.
