#6 GU Clinches 7th Straight HAAC Crown
Saturday evening in St. Charles, Missouri the Jackets clinched their seventh consecutive conference championship with a dominating 4-1 win over the Lindenwood Lions.
Graceland got two goals in the first half and two more in the second in the decisive victory. Chelsea Phillips (Granada Hills, CA) scored two times, Gisela Arrieta (Valledupar, Colombia) scored once and Laura Toca (Bogota, Colombia) added one.
"Beautiful night in St. Charles and what an awesome way to clinch our seventh conference championship in a row," stated Coach Wagenaar after the win. "The ladies came together and played well in spite of all the injuries we've suffered recently. The depth of our team has really pulled through during this stretch however. We possessed the ball excellently tonight and it resulted an a great overall team win," finished Wagenaar.
