2023 Heart Softball All-Conference Teams Announced; Four Earned Honors

Overland Park, Kan. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its annual Heart Softball All-Conference teams and major award winners on Friday afternoon.

The All-Conference teams feature players from across the Heart and are listed as First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention.

Below you will also find the 2023 Heart Softball Gold Glove Team.

The Yellowjackets had four named to the list;

Heart Softball All-Conference Second Team
Ries Wilson | Sr. | Infield | Colfax, Iowa
Wilson played in 46 games for the Yellowjackets with a .342 batting average. She would have 52 hits, 15 doubles, two triples and five home runs. She batted in a total of 27 runs and had 19 herself.

Heart Softball All-Conference Golden Glove
Morina Goodman | Fr. | Right Field | Kansas City, Kan.
In her first season for the Yellowjackets, Goodman has hit .216 with three doubles on 16 hits. She also collected five RBI's and five sacrifice hits.

Heart Softball All-Conference Honorable Mention
Allison Rebling | Jr. | Pitcher | Fairfield, Iowa
Rebling is 10-8 in the 2023 season with a 3.75 ERA in 100.2 innings. The Junior from Fairfield, Iowa, had 121 strikeouts and four complete games.

Heart Softball All-Conference Honorable Mention
Taylor Beane | Sr. | Outfield | Dexter, Iowa
Beane appeared in 39 games for the Yellowjackets. She has hit .282 with three home runs, six doubles, and one triple. Beane would have 18 RBI's on 31 hits, and 18 runs herself.

The individual awards and All-Conference teams were selected by the Heart softball head coaches.

2023 Heart Softball Pitcher of the Year – Jayna Witzany – Mount Mercy
2023 Heart Softball Newcomer of the Year – Kerstyn Finch – Baker
2023 Heart Softball Freshman of the Year – Kira Baker – Baker
2023 Heart Softball Coach of the Year – Pat Reardon – Central Methodist
