Graceland Wrestling Adds Kyle Homet to Coaching Staff
LAMONI, Iowa — Graceland University Wrestling has announced the addition of Kyle Homet as an assistant coach for the Yellowjackets men's wrestling program.
Homet arrives in Lamoni after serving as an assistant coach at Georgetown College, where he helped launch the program during its inaugural season. He assisted Georgetown to a 13th-place finish at the national tournament while helping coach five national qualifiers, a national champion, and the tournament's Most Outstanding Wrestler. Homet was also recognized as the Mid-South Assistant Coach of the Year.
As a student-athlete, Homet earned NCAA Division II All-American honors and was the 2024 NAIA National Runner-Up at 184 pounds while competing for Life University. A four-time Academic All-American, he brings both high-level competitive experience and a strong commitment to student-athlete development.
"I am grateful and honored to have the opportunity to be a part of the Graceland University Wrestling program," Homet said. "I have been blown away by the hospitality that has been shown to me by the administration and athletic department. Since the reinstatement of the men's wrestling program at Graceland, they have shown tremendous success on the mat with 46 national qualifiers, 10 All-Americans, and two national champions. I aim to assist Head Coach Drew Sams in continuing to develop champions on and off the mat and bring prestige to Lamoni and Graceland University."
Homet, his wife Sidney, and their son Sean will join the Graceland community ahead of the 2026-27 academic year.
