Wrestling Earns Musco Team Sportsmanship Award

Overland, Park – Under the direction of head coach Zack Mullins, Graceland University has been selected for the Musco Team Sportsmanship Award for the sport of men's wrestling, announced by the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

The Yellowjackets earned the award for their display of the NAIA's Five Core Character Values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship and Servant Leadership.

Teams are nominated throughout the season by Athletics Administrators, Game Officials, Coaches, Student-Athletes and Fans.

Here is what the nominator had to say about the Yellowjackets: "The men's wrestling program has always shown the upmost respect its opponents and they go above and beyond in support for each other and for the other teams they compete against. Their level of respect, sportsmanship and leadership is second to none at Graceland."

Head Coach Zack Mullins said about his team, "A tremendous honor for our program to receive this award. It's a reflection of the commitment our student-athletes have made to our program's vision, values and standards. I'm very proud of each of these young men and the way they represent Graceland, Graceland Athletics and our wrestling program."
