Men's Wrestling Pins the Ravens

Atchison, Kan. – The Graceland University Wrestling team dueled the Benedictine (Kan.) College Ravens. The Yellowjackets defeated the Ravens, 42-9 and move and move to 4-2 on the season.

Starting the Yellowjackets off for the night, in the 125-lb weight class TJ Smith took on the Raven's Charles Easterling. Smith would take the first pin of the night, putting the contest at 0-6.

In the following weight class, 133 lbs., Joe Lupton (GU) would take down Kyle Smart (BC) in a pin. The score now 12-0.

Ryan Anderson of Graceland would set to the mat to take on Benedictine's Fischer Valleroy in the 141 lbs weight class. Anderson would take the match in a pin. The score now 18-0.

Graceland would add another pin in the 149 lbs. weight class when Jackson Wenberg (GU) took down Daryl Easterling (BC). The score now 24-0.

The Ravens would add a win by decision (1-6) in the 157 lbs. weight class from the matchup between Invi Bella and Mike Lucas. The score now 24-3

In the following weight class, 165lbs. Cullen Bruner (BC) would take down Jeraimiah Nyberg (GU) in a decision (3-8). The score now 24-6.

The Ravens Jensen McDermott would follow next with his victory of decision (6-11) over the Yellowjacket's Jeraimiah Nyberg in the 174 lbs weight class. The score now 24-9

Brody Saltzman would take the 184 lbs. weight class by forfeit to put the Yellowjackets at 30-9.

The Yellowjackets would win by pin in the 197 lbs weight class from the matchup of Graceland's John Schuttler and Benedictine's Garrett St. Clair. The score now 36-9

The final weight class of the night featured Graceland's Sam Fleming would take the 285. weight class by forfeited, ending the dual at a score of 42-9.
