Men’s Soccer Ends Match Even with Northwestern

Orange City, Iowa - Graceland University Men's Soccer team went up against the Northwestern University Raiders. The Yellowjackets would end the game even 2-2 with the Raiders. The Yellowjackets would move to 1-0-1 on the season.

Scoring:
First Half:
Both teams would be scoreless in the first half. Graceland would have six shots in the first half with three on goal compared to the Raiders' two shots.

Second Half:
Northwestern would find the back of the net first at the 53-minute mark to take the lead. The Raiders would add to their advantage moments later (2-0). At the 62-minute mark, Northwestern fouled Graceland for a penalty kick. Lucas Porter took the kick and got Graceland on the board for a 2-1 score. Moments later, a Raiders defender would take Kendall Guzman Soto down, and Graceland would earn a second penalty kick. L. Porter would even the score 2-2 with the penalty kick.

Both teams would work to take the advantage but would remain in a deadlock for a tie, 2-2.
