Men’s Basketball Defeated by Peru State in Heart Quarterfinals
Peru, Neb. – The Graceland University Men's Basketball team was defeated by the Peru State College Bobcats in the Heart Conference Quarterfinal, 78-56. The Yellowjackets end there season 18-11 and 13-9 in conference play.

Half 1: Graceland 25 | Peru State 33
Both teams went point for point, trading the lead in the first nine minutes of play (6-6). The Bobcats would push for a seven-point jump (8-16). A layup broke the run by Seth Compas. Peru State would put up another seven-point run (12-25); a jumper from JT Washington would interrupt their run. Late in the first half, Aleksa Markovic drained one for the floor; he would push the Yellowjackets to jump nine points (23-30); Sam'i Roe and Compas contributed. Roe would drain a layup to end the half scoring; the Bobcats lead by eight points (25-33).
Half 2: Graceland 31 | Peru State 45
The Bobcats would start the second half with a 9-0 scoring run (25-42); Seth Compas's layup would stop the run. Trenton Daughtry would sink a jumper to break the Bobcat's groove; Jacob Charske would close their gap to 21 points with a layup. The Yellowjackets would close their deficit by collecting five points from Compas and Mario Johnson. Both teams would trade baskets. A last-second layup by Nathan Oakley would close their gap to 22; the Bobcats would hold their lead and take the game.
