Men's Basketball Falls to the Bobcats

Peru Neb. – The Graceland University Men's Basketball team were defeated by the Peru State (Neb.) College Bobcats, 72-85. The Yellowjackets move to 13-9 on the season and are 8-8 in the Heart.

Half 1: Graceland 36 | Peru State 47
Both teams came out competitive, neither giving the other the edge. The Yellowjackets would create the first lead of the game with a 7-0 basket collection, started from the layup by Aleksa Markovic. The Bobcats would answer with a five-point jump, and Sam'i Roe's layup would push the Yellowjackets ahead. Peru made a 12-2 scoring run to take the lead by eight (14-22). Mario Johnson with a layup, and Winslow Martin would sink one from the deep to break their run. Late in the half, Graceland would find their way to a 6-0 run, started from the C.J. Wilson jumper. The half scoring would end with made charity stripes by Roe(36-47).

The Bobcats would sink six baskets to start the second quarter. C.J. Wilson and Sam'i Roe would break the Peru State run with back-to-back layups (40-53). The Yellowjackets would collect a 9-0 run to reduce their deficit to seven (49-56); Seth Compas, C.J. Wilson, Sam'i Roe, and Julius Raudonius would contribute to the run. Graceland would close the gap to six (60-66), but Peru State would hold their lead. The game would end with a final dunk from Aleksa Markovic (72-85).
