Lamoni, Iowa – The Graceland University Women's Basketball were defeated in tough matchup to the William Penn University Statesmen, 58-64. They move to 12-8 on the season and are 7-7 in the Heart.

William Penn found their way to the board first (0-4). Aleksa Markovic would give the Yellowjackets their first advance, and Trenton Daughtry followed with his own layup for the lead (9-7). Both teams, not wanting to give the other the edge, would change and tie the score three times. William Penn would sink five points to create their first advantage (13-18). C.J. Wilson would collect back-to-back jumpers to close their deficit to four points (21-25). The half scoring would end with a five-point jump from the made long ball and layup from Seth Compas (29-32)

Mario Johnson would tie the score by cashing in back-to-back layups (37-37). The Statesmen would retaliate to regain their advantage and extend it to 10 points (8:18 minute mark). Seth Compas's layup would start the scoring run 16-2 (58-57), and his dunk would push the Yellowjackets ahead (3:00 minute mark). The Statesmen would tip-in to regain their lead and collect the remaining seven points of the game for the victory (58-64).

The Statesmen would tip in and sink a layup with under two minutes of play, and they would be able to hold onto the lead they created.
