Men’s Basketball Overtook the Swedes for a Second Half Victory
Lamoni, Iowa – The Graceland University Men's Basketball team took down the Bethany College (Kan.) Swede, 84-71. They move to -6 on the season and are 2-5 in the Heart.

Half 1: Graceland 36| Bethany 39
The Swedes started the game off with a lead (0-7). Graceland would retaliate to put up a run from the layup made by Aleksa Markovic (eight-point run); Winslow Martin would sink a jumper to cause the lead to change. Bethany would collect their lead back at the 15:15 minute mark; (9-7) and held it for over seven minutes. Graceland would trade places from the charity stripes by Markovic (23-22). With a run of seven points, the Swedes would push ahead. The Yellowjackets' Seth Compas tied the score with just over a minute remaining, and Graceland would head into halftime trailing by three points.
Half 2: Graceland 48| Bethany 32
Seth Compas would start the Graceland second half scoring and put up back-to-back three-pointers to overtake the Swedes (42-41), which caused the Yellowjacket 18-2 scoring run (54-43). Both teams would then put up point for point, the Swedes worked to close the Yellowjacket's advantage. With under five minutes of play, Bethany would shrink their deficit to nine points. The Yellowjackets would continue with their lead to take the victory.
Key Moment:
The Yellowjackets would come from behind to take the lead from the Swedes at the 17:56 minute mark with an 18-2 scoring run. The Yellowjackets had a shooting percentage of 56.7 (17-30) field goals, 62.5 (5-8) three-pointers and 81.8 (9-11) free throws in the second half.
