Men's Basketball Bit by the Wildcats

Baldwin City, Kan. – The Graceland University Men's Basketball team traveled to take on Baker University (Kan.) Wildcats, and fell 83-86. They move to 5-4 on the season and are 1-3 in the Heart.

Graceland (5-4, 1-3) | Baker (8-1; 3-0)

Half 1: Graceland 35 | Baker 41

The Wildcats would take the lead, putting up an 11- 2 collection. The Yellowjackets would close the gap (8-13) with the jumper by Winslow Martin. Baker would hold the lead over the Yellowjackets of 13 points halfway through the first half (17-30). Graceland would find their groove with a 13-2 scoring run and hold the Wildcats to score two points for just under five minutes of play (32-38). Martin would end the half's scoring with a long ball to solidify the halftime score of 35-41. 

Half 2: Graceland 48 | Baker 45

The Yellowjackets would trail to the Wildcats as they went point-for-point. Graceland was able to break out from the layup by Sam'i Roe and CJ Wilson to go 8-2 and close the deficit to three points (4:14 minute mark). In the remainder of the game, the Wildcats held the Yellowjackets to three points for a final score of 83-86.

The Yellowjackets were able to close their six-point deficit, but the Wildcats held them to a three-point difference.
