Men's Basketball Fell to the Eagles
Fayette, Mo. – The Graceland University Men's Basketball team fell to the Central Methodist (Mo.) Eagles in their conference opener, with a score 65-80. They move to 4-2 on the season and are 0-1 in the Heart.

The Yellowjackets were able to find the board first with a free throw by Winslow Martin. Central Methodist would tie the game 4-4, and both teams would enter over a two-minute scoreless period and be broken by the Eagles 7-point run (4-11). CMU would create the first 12-point advantage over the Yellowjackets late in the first half. Graceland would continue to put up points to close their gap; they would head into the half with a 30-35 score.

The Eagles would find their way back to an over-10-point lead over the Yellowjackets, but Seth Compass would propel them to cash in a 9-2 run (42-46). Both teams would rattle off point per point, but late in the half, the Eagles would increase their advantage a 11-3 unleash and maintain their lead for the remainder of the game, sealing their victory (65-80).
