Men's Basketball Clips Falcons in Double Overtime
Lamoni, Iowa – The Graceland University men's basketball team defeated Kansas Christian College (Kan.) Falcons in double overtime, 98-97. Graceland moves to 4-1 on the season.

Half 1: Graceland 37 | Kansas Christian 33
The Yellowjacket were able to get a handle on the game first, taking the lead by reaching 10 points first with Aleksa Markovic's layup (10-7). The Falcons would retaliate and trade the lead with a jump shot halfway through the game. Both teams rattled off points; the Falcons trailed close behind. The Yellowjackets would head into the half leading by four, from the three-pointer by Martin Winslow (37-33). Graceland would hit 13-34 field goals, 5-14 three-pointers and 6-9 charity strips.
Half 2: Graceland 39 | Kansas Christian 37
The Falcons took the advantage over the Yellowjackets early in the second half. Graceland wouldn't allow them to get too far ahead. In the first 10 minutes of play in the second half, the lead changed six times and tied three times. A layup from Seth Compas would help the Yellowjackets to an 11-point lead. Late in the half, the Falcons would slowly shrink their deficit to two-points with one minute of play left (73-71). Kansas Christian would push the game into overtime with a seven-second made layup (77-77).
Overtime 1: Graceland 13 | Kansas Christian 13
The Falcons put points on the board first with a two-point in the paint. The Yellowjackets would pull the first lead of two points. A shot from beyond the arch by Sam'i Roe would add to their four-point advantage. A final five-second layup from the Falcons would pull the Yellowjackets into second overtime (90-90).
Overtime 2: Graceland 7 | Kansas Christian 8
Kansas Christian would continue their groove into the second overtime, leading by five points with 1:25 left to go. (92-97). The Yellowjackets trailed by one with 30-seconds (96-97). Graceland found their last two points to take the game from a steal by Seth Compass, who would aid to the play creation from Aleksa Markovic and Martin Winslow (98-97).
