Cedar Rapids, Iowa – The Graceland University men's basketball team defeated the Coe College (Iowa) Kohawks, 73-63. Graceland moves to 3-1 on the season.

The Yellowjackets pulled out to an early lead. A three-pointer from Sam'i Roe allowed the eight-point gap. With a scoreless two minutes ended from a layup by the Kohawks. Halfway through the first half, the gap would stay the same as the team would trade point for point. Their deficit would be brought to three points with an 8-2 run. The Yellowjackets would hold their advantage heading into the half with a 34-26 score. Graceland would hit 14-26 field goals, and Sam'i Roe would sink six (6-11).
Half 2: Graceland 39 | Coe 37
Both teams continue their battle into the second half. The Kohawks came out on fire as they began to shrink their disadvantage. They would close the gap to two with a charity strip and overtake the Yellowjackets with a three-pointer just over five minutes into the half. The Yellowjackets found 8-2 points to retake their lead from the layup by C.J. Wilson (46-45). The Kohawks would again pull the gap closer, but the Yellowjackets would not allow them a change to lead again to take the game leading by 10-points.

Seth Compas stole the ball from The Kohawks and, with his dunk, pushed the Yellowjackets to an eight-point lead.
