GU Athletics To Participate In Coaches Vs. Cancer Initiative

Lamoni, IA - The NAIA and Heart of American Athletic Conference are participating in the Coaches vs. Cancer initiative the week of January 18th-24th.

The Coaches vs. Cancer program empowers coaches, their teams, and communities to join the fight against cancer by participating in awareness efforts, advocacy programs, and fundraising activities.

Guided by the Coaches vs. Cancer Council, participating coaches help people with cancer today and to find cures to end the disease tomorrow, and have raised more than $87 million to help the American Cancer Society's mission.

Graceland University will be hosting MidAmerica Nazarene University on Saturday, January 23rd in a women's and men's basketball double-header beginning at 2pm.

GU Athletics will have a silent auction that includes a GU football helmet, signed basketball from the Jacket women's and men's basketball teams and other Graceland apparel. Fans can also make a donation at the concession stand and receive a free bag of popcorn.

All proceeds will go to the John Stoddard Cancer Foundation.

Winners of the silent auction will be announced at halftime of the men's game.

Join us Saturday in the Closson Center at 2pm as the Jackets take on the Pioneers of MidAmerica Nazarene University.
