William Lawrence, a Graceland alumnus and former defensive end for the Yellowjackets, enters his second season on the football coaching staff.

Lawrence earned a Bachelor of Arts from Graceland University in exercise science in 2018. As a Yellowjacket, he started all 11 games in his senior season and had 21 tackles as a defensive lineman.

After graduating, his first coaching stop was at West Hills Community College, where he coached the defensive line and was the strength and conditioning coordinator. While at West Hills, Lawrence helped develop three players who were all named all-conference defensive linemen. Most recently, Lawrence was a part of the coaching staff at Missouri Valley College as the outside linebackers coach.

Lawrence is from Bedford, Iowa, and a graduate of Bedford High School.
