Bio

Donald Fusilier is entering his first season with the Graceland University football program as the Offensive Pass Game Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach. In addition, he will serve as the team's Pro Liaison. Fusilier brings over 10 years of coaching experience to the Yellowjacket staff, most recently serving as the Offensive Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach at Lafayette Renaissance Charter in Lafayette, LA.

Fusilier's coaching background includes both Division I and high school levels. He became the Offensive Coordinator at Lafayette Renaissance after a season as the Quarterbacks Coach at Beau Chene High School in Arnaudville, LA. Prior to that, Fusilier was the Director of Player Personnel at Southern University, an NCAA FCS program, in 2021. At Southern, he oversaw recruiting and scouting while also working with the cornerbacks.

In 2020, Fusilier served as the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach at St. Martinville High School, where he played a pivotal role in developing two All-State receivers: Harvey Broussard (UL-Lafayette) and Cullen Charles, a 2024 3-star recruit committed to Arizona State. Before that, in 2019, he coached at Comeaux High School as the Wide Receivers Coach, where he mentored 4-star Under Armour All-American and current LSU receiver Malik Nabers.

Fusilier played collegiate football at Victor Valley College in Victorville, CA, where he was the team’s leading receiver in 2009 with 36 receptions for 676 yards and 7 touchdowns. He earned First-Team All-Conference honors, recording 1,042 all-purpose yards. Fusilier later transferred to Lindenwood University, where he played under Coach Ross in 2010 before embarking on a professional career.

His professional playing career included stints with the Wichita Wild (2011), Florida Tarpons (2012), where he led the UIFL in touchdowns with 35, the AFL’s Cleveland Gladiators (2013-2014), and the Colorado Ice (2014). After his playing days, Fusilier transitioned into coaching and player development.

Fusilier earned his bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Humanities from Nicholls State University in 2021.

A native of New Iberia, Louisiana, Fusilier has two children: a daughter, Saniaya (16), and a son, Zye (7).
