Bio

D’Ambrose Finch joined the Graceland University football staff in the spring of 2025 and is entering his first season as the Yellowjackets’ defensive backs coach.

A former standout at Kansas Wesleyan University, Finch played under Coach Ross and was a member of the Coyotes’ 2001 Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) championship team. He earned All-KCAC honors in each of his final three seasons—sophomore, junior, and senior years—highlighting a successful collegiate playing career.

Following college, Finch went on to play professionally in the National Indoor Football League (NIFL), competing for the Black Hills Red Dogs, San Angelo Stampede, and Jacksonville Lions.

Before arriving at Graceland, Finch spent 11 years coaching high school football in Colorado. His experience includes eight seasons as a position coach, two as a defensive coordinator, and one season serving as both offensive coordinator and assistant defensive coordinator. His coaching résumé includes contributions to two league championship teams. In his first year as offensive coordinator, he helped guide his program to its first win in five seasons, closing the year on a winning streak. As a defensive coordinator, Finch’s units compiled 43 takeaways, 38 sacks, and 78 tackles for loss over a two-season span.

Outside of coaching, Finch enjoys spending time with his wife, Maegon, their daughter, Aviyah, and their godson, Corey.
