Graceland Football Signs 62 to 2026 Recruiting Class

Lamoni, Iowa — The Graceland University Yellowjackets football and head coach Phil Staback announced the signing of 62 student-athletes to the program's 2026 recruiting class on National Signing Day, marking a significant milestone for the Yellowjackets as the program enters a new era.

The 2026 class represents the first full recruiting class assembled by Coach Staback and his staff and reflects a clear emphasis on physicality, versatility, and long-term program development. The group includes prospects from across the country, with strong representation from key recruiting regions including Iowa, Texas, Florida, and Missouri.

"We're extremely excited about this signing class—our first as a staff," said Staback. "We made a point to address our biggest needs, starting in the trenches. We needed to get bigger and more physical, but just as importantly, we targeted big athletes who can move. I love signing players who can play on both sides of the ball because it speaks to their football IQ and versatility to help the team in multiple ways.

"We also wanted to establish a strong presence in the Houston and Dallas areas, while Florida and Missouri have been great states for us as well. These regions will be key as we build long-term relationships with high school coaches and develop a pipeline of program kids year after year. I'm very excited about the future of Graceland Football, and this class will be a pillar of what we're building as a program."

The Yellowjackets' 2026 recruiting class focuses on building depth and competition across all position groups, with particular emphasis on the offensive and defensive lines, athletic skill players, and multi-position prospects capable of impacting multiple phases of the game.
