Ross and Kennybrew Named to the First Big Game Football Player of the Week Awards of 2023

Overland Park, Kan. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the first edition of the Big Game Football Player of the Week awards of the 2023 season. Cade Ross was named Heart Football Offensive Player of the Week, and Dantre Kennybrew earned the Conference Special Team's Player of the Week.

Ross and the Yellowjackets opened up the 2023 season with an impressive 42-17 home win over Doane on Saturday.
The sophomore threw for 430 yards and five touchdowns in the victory. He also ran in a touchdown. He averaged 25.3 yards per completion.

Heart Football Special Team's Player of the Week
Dantre Kennybrew | So. | Wide Receiver | Corona, Calif
Kennybrew blocked a punt for Graceland in the third quarter of the victory, which led to a safety.
