Graceland Football Suffers Road Loss at Grand View

LAMONI - The Graceland University Football team traveled to Des Moines, Iowa earlier today to face the #3 Grand View University Vikings. Graceland fell to the Vikings 70-0 and drop to 0-5 overall and 0-3 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) North division.

Grand View scored their opening touchdown just two plays in to the game to go up 7-0 over the Yellowjackets. They would add another score before the end of the quarter to hold a 14-0 lead at the end of the first.

The Vikings continued to control the line of scrimmage throughout the first half. They would head into halftime holding a 35-0 lead.

Graceland struggled to produce any offense against the Grand View defense the entire game. Grand View would match their 35 first half points in the final two quarters to win it, 70-0.

Graceland's next game, originally scheduled to be played at home, will now be in Canton, Missouri next week. They will play Culver-Stockton College on the Wildcats' home field at 1 p.m. To finish the season, the Yellowjackets will return home for their final two games. They are set to host Peru State College for Senior Day on November 14 and complete their 2020 slate on November 21 against Evangel University.
