2020 Heart Football Coaches' Preseason Poll Released

KANSAS CITY, MO. - The Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) has officially announced the Heart Football Preseason Coaches' Poll for the 2020 season. Graceland University was picked to finished sixth in the North Division after a winless 2019 campaign.

Nate Robinson, entering his second year at the helm, will look to turn things around for the Graceland football program. He will rely on his experienced position groups including a deep receiving core led by the trio of Caleb Thomas, Donte Sylencieux, and Cameron Richardson who combined for over 1,500 yards last season. The offense will also return a large number of their starting offensive linemen from 2019.

In addition, Coach Robinson will also look for the experience of Tevin Cameron (linebacker), Carson Quint (defensive back), and James Jackson (defensive lineman) to help lead the defense.

The Graceland football coaching staff will also have a new look to it as well. William Lawrence has moved into the role of Defensive Coordinator for the 2020 season. Jeff Whitehall, Thomas Bregar, Kenny Newman, and Adam Posateri have also been announced has new additions to the staff.

The Yellowjackets will kick off their 2020 season on September 12 at 1 pm on the road versus Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas. They will host their first home game the following week on the 19th against Central Methodist University at Huntsman Field. Their next home game is scheduled for October 3 versus Evangel University at 1 pm.

After the Heart's conference-wide bye week, Graceland will begin divisional play as they host William Penn University at 1 pm on October 17. The Yellowjackets will then go on the road for two straight facing Clarke University on October 24 and Grand View University on Halloween.

Graceland is scheduled to finish up their regular season slate with two home games in November. They will host Culver-Stockton College at 1 pm on the 7th, then will host Peru State College at 1 pm on November 14 for Senior Day.
