#4 Grand View Routs Graceland, 70-0

LAMONI - Graceland University's football team hosted the #4 Grand View University Vikings earlier today and was defeated, 70-0.

The #4 Vikings' offense scored on the opening drive of the game to take an early 7-0 lead with 12:04 left in the first quarter.

Grand View's defense then created more scoring opportunities as the opening quarter continued. Having short field on multiple drives the remainder of the first quarter, the Vikings held a 42-0 lead. They would then score 14 more in the second quarter to lead 56-0 at halftime.

After a scoreless third quarter for either side, Grand View was back on the board after a 14-play, 73-yard drive to make it 63-0. The Vikings would then get their final score off of a blocked punt.

Grand View improved their record to 9-0 on the season as Graceland has dropped to 0-9. Graceland, still searching for their first win of the year, will travel to Canton, Mo. next weekend to face Culver-Stockton College.

Graceland football will then close their season out the following week in Peru, Nebraska as they take on Peru State College on November 16.
