Graceland Football Defeated by Evangel, 65-0

OZARK, MO. - The #18 Evangel Crusaders hosted the Yellowjackets and won 65-0.

Evangel was dominant throughout the game from start to finish. They were able to score on their opening possession and didn't look back.

The Yellowjackets trailed 14-0 heading into the second quarter. Evangel then scored 30 in the quarter to take a 44-0 lead into halftime. Graceland's offense struggled to get anything going for most of the half.

The Crusaders were able to complete the shutout in the second half outscoring Graceland 21-0 to get the 65-0 win.

Evangel's defense held the Yellowjackets to just 113 yards of offense. Javante White was the team's leader in rushing with 15 carries for 61 yards on the day. Caleb Thomas led the team in receptions with four for 34 yards.

Defensively, Tevin Cameron once again led the Yellowjackets in tackles as he had 10 solo and 17 total for the afternoon.

Graceland will go into their bye week with an 0-6 record. They will be back in action next on October 19 as they travel to Oskaloosa, Iowa to play William Penn University and seek their first win of the season.
