Graceland Bids Farewell to Head Dance Coach Kat Albertson

LAMONI, Iowa – Graceland University extends its sincere thanks to Head Dance Coach Kat Albertson, who is departing the Yellowjacket program after two seasons to accept the head coaching position at Saginaw Valley State University in University Center, Michigan.

A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Albertson brought a wealth of experience and passion to the Yellowjackets, leading the program to unprecedented success during her tenure. In her first season, she guided the team to its first-ever State Championship and an NAIA National Championship qualification, culminating in a 7th-place national finish. Her leadership and vision elevated the program and set a new standard for excellence at Graceland.

"We are incredibly grateful for everything Kat has brought to Graceland," said Athletic Director Brady McKillip. "Her impact on our student-athletes and the program's culture has been profound. While we're sad to see her go, we're excited for her next chapter and wish her all the success at Saginaw Valley."

Graceland University thanks Coach Albertson for her dedication, leadership, and contributions to the Yellowjackets and looks forward to following her continued journey in collegiate dance. The search for her replacement will begin immediately.
