Four Earned 2023 Heart Baseball All-Conference Honors

Overland Park, Kan – The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its annual Heart Baseball All-Conference teams and major award winners on Thursday.

The All-Conference teams feature players from across the Heart and are listed as First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention.

Below you will also find the 2023 Heart Baseball Gold Glove Team.

The Yellowjackets had four named to the list;

Heart Baseball All-Conference First Team
Stephen Eskridge| So. | Pitcher | Canton, Ill.
Eskridge, through 29.0 innings on the mound in the regular season for the Yellowjackets, posted a 4.34 ERA. He has 43 strikeouts on the year with 13.34 k/9. He went 2-1 and had seven saves.

Heart Baseball All-Conference Second Team
Kamaehu Sanchez | So. | Catcher | Waianae Hawaii
Sanchez played in 46 games and hit a .398 with four home runs and 32 RBI's. He had a .980 fielding percentage, with 130 putouts, 14 assists and caught nine stealing. He would also have ten runs.

Heart Baseball All-Conference Honorable Mention
Zach Tanabe | So. | Short Stop | Waipahu, Hawaii
Tanabe would play in 50 games for the Yellowjackets and have a .349. He would have four home runs, 12 doubles and 36 RBI's. He was a part of 17 double plays and 85 assists. He would also have six stolen bases and 31 runs.

Heart Baseball All-Conference Honorable Mention
Bryan Paez| Sr. | Third Base| Maracay Venezuela
For the Yellowjackets, Paez would play in 48 games with a .322 batting average and had 47 hits. He would collect 16 doubles, three home runs and 25 runs. He would have a .844 in the field with 29 putouts and 74 assists.

The individual awards and All-Conference teams were selected by the Heart baseball head coaches.
