Senior Spotlight: Aaron Hassell

LAMONI - The Graceland University athletic department is honoring a Spring sport senior who did not get the chance to finish their final season. We are completing the honors of the baseball program's seniors at the beginning of this week. The baseball team had just over half of their 2020 campaign remaining when the season was officially cancelled. Our next baseball Senior Spotlight is Aaron Hassell.

Hassell, a native of Dallas, Texas, was just a one-year member of the Yellowjacket baseball program. He transferred in at the beginning of the year from Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska. As a pitcher, he made three starts on the mound this season.

For the 2020 season, Hassell appeared on the mound in six games total. He pitched 26 complete innings and had 21 strikeouts. Hassell had one win on the year in three decisions. He had a season-high in strikeouts with seven against Morningside College back on February 22 and was tabbed as the winning pitcher throwing six innings.

Graceland University wants to thank Aaron for his committment to the baseball program and Graceland Athletics as a whole. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
