71 Graceland Student-Athletes Named 2024–25 Heart Scholar-Athletes
LAMONI, Iowa — Graceland University is proud to announce that 71 Yellowjacket student-athletes have been named 2024–25 Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) Scholar-Athletes, a distinction that honors exceptional academic achievement across all varsity sports.
This year's list, released by the Heart office, features 1,126 student-athletes from across the conference who met the rigorous academic and eligibility criteria, which include:

A cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher (on a 4.0 scale),

Completion of at least 60 credit hours and five semesters,
-
Active participation in varsity-level competition in their sport,

And at least two semesters of enrollment at their current institution.
Graceland's 71 honorees represent a wide range of academic disciplines and athletic programs, showcasing the university's commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes.
Athletic Director Brady McKillip praised the accomplishment, stating, "This recognition goes far beyond a number—it reflects the daily habits, late nights, early mornings, and academic resilience of our student-athletes. Competing at a high level is tough enough. Doing it while excelling in the classroom says everything about the caliber of people we have at Graceland."
The Heart Scholar-Athlete Award highlights not just athletic talent but a deep dedication to academic success, a cornerstone of the student-athlete experience at Graceland.
