Graceland University Announces 2025 Hall of Fame and Wall of Fame Inductees

LAMONI, Iowa — Graceland University is proud to announce the 2025 inductees for its Hall of Fame and Wall of Fame, celebrating exceptional achievement in Yellowjacket athletics. This year's honorees—legendary two-sport athlete Paul "Bud" Reedy and the historic 1976 Men's Volleyball Team, Graceland's second-ever national champions—will be formally inducted during Homecoming Weekend, October 3–5, in Lamoni.

Hall of Fame Inductee

Paul "Bud" Reedy ('67)

Reedy was a standout on both the football field and the wrestling mat during his time at Graceland from 1963 to 1967. A four-year varsity letter winner in each sport, he claimed four conference wrestling titles and twice earned NAIA All-American honors. On the football field, he was a two-time First Team All-Conference running back, team co-captain, and team MVP. He graduated with an outstanding 60-12-2 record in wrestling and received Graceland's prestigious Silver Seal Award for excellence in athletics.

1976 Men's Volleyball Team

The 1976 Yellowjackets secured their place in Graceland history by winning the NAIA National Invitational Championship, becoming the university's second national champion team. Coached by Hall of Famer Rod Schall, the team finished with a 36-6 record and captured multiple tournament titles en route to the championship. Their performance helped solidify Graceland's reputation as a national volleyball contender and remains a defining moment in the program's history.

A Word from the Athletic Director

"Homecoming is a time to reflect on the best of who we are—and these inductees absolutely represent that," said Athletic Director Brady McKillip. "Paul Reedy is one of the greatest all-around athletes to ever wear the Navy and Gold, and the 1976 men's volleyball team brought home a national title that still resonates across campus today. We're honored to celebrate their legacy and welcome them back to Lamoni."

Induction Weekend Details

The induction ceremony will be held during the Alumni Awards Banquet on Friday night, October 3, as part of Graceland's Homecoming festivities. The honorees will also be recognized during halftime of the Homecoming football game on Saturday, October 4.
