Bio

Cartland came to Graceland from Lee’s Summit, MO where he attended Lee’s Summit High School. His high school accomplishments include qualifying for the MO State Tournament 3 times, being named First Team All-Conference twice, placing 5th at Liberty Nationals and collecting 114 career wins.

2014-2015: Cartland competed at 133lbs. and earned a varsity letter as a freshman. Cartland placed 2nd at Knox College Invite, 2nd at NAIA North Qualifier, qualified for the NAIA National Championships where he finished 2-2 one match away from All-American placing. Cartland led the team in wins, decisions, major decisions and reversals. Cartland was voted for team award “Most Valuable” and selected as Graceland’s Freshman Male Athlete of the Year.

2015-2016: Cartland used the season as a red-shirt year as a sophomore.

2016-2017: Cartland competed at 133lbs. and earned a varsity letter as a redshirt sophomore. Cartland was selected 2^nd Team All-Conference, placed 3^rd at the NAIA Central Qualifier, and qualified for the NAIA National Championships where he finished 2-2 one match away from All-American placing. Cartland led the team in winning percentage, major decisions, technical-falls, 2-point near-fall and 4-point near-fall. Cartland was voted for team award “Most Valuable” and selected as Graceland’s Sophomore Male Athlete of the Year.
