In 2013, Atualevao earned honors on the NAIA Volleyball All-American Third Team, she was HAAC libero of the week seven times, HAAC player of the week two times, two time all-tournament selection, First Team All-HAAC, Conference Libero of the Year and First team All-Region NAIA/AVCA. Atualevao was also ranked in the NAIA #6 in total service aces (69), #10 in service aces per game (0.650), #13 in digs per game (5.500) and #40 Total digs (583). She ended the season with 583 digs and her career with 1,482 digs and 183 service aces.
In 2012, she found her way on First Team All-HAAC, was Conference Libero of the Year and Honorable Mention All-Region NAIA/AVCA. She was ranked #9 in service aces per game (0.590), #18 in total service aces (65), #22 in digs per game (5.340) overall in the NAIA. Atualevao ended the season with 593 digs.
Atualaveo started club volleyball in 1999 with Starlings Volleyball Club of San Diego and stayed with them through 2006. In 2007 she joined the Allen Allen Volleyball Club, 2008 switched to Epic Volleyball Club and finished her club career in 2009-2010 with Del Sol Volleyball Club.
Personal: Born Denise Siaitolo Atualevao on May 28, 1992. Her parents are Tafale and Koroseta Atualevao and she has a sister named Debby Mathewson. Her happiest moment(s) in sports were transitioning as an outside hitter to a libero, she looked at it as a challenge to overcome and conquer. She graduated from Southwest High School (San Diego, California) in 2010 and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Graceland University and graduated in the Spring of 2014. She admires both her parents because they are the definition of unconditional love, are hardworking and the people who made her who she is today. Her favorite professional team is the San Diego Chargers of National Football League, her favorite movie is Harry Potter and her favorite food is anything that is chocolate. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially with her niece and nephew.
