Coach Sherman is entering his first year at Graceland University as assistant men's basketball coach.  Matt comes to Graceland from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA where he had been a graduate assistant coach for the men's basketball team.

Playing Experience- Coach Sherman was a two-time honorable mention all-American and four year all-conference player for Central Methodist University. He ended his career as the 6th all-time leading scorer with over 1800 career points, as well as a school record for 3-pointers made for career (428) and season (131). Matt assisted his team with a HAAC conference championship in 2010 and was a part of the NAIA national tournament teams in 2009 and 2010.

Education- Matt graduated from Central Methodist in 2010 with his BSE in Physical Education and Health. He is currently in the process of completing his MS in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in Sports Administration from Northwestern State.

Personal- Matt played for his father, Jeff Sherman at Central Methodist where he is still currently the head men's basketball coach.  His mother, Julee, is Vice President for Finance and Administration. Matt's brother Ryan is a senior at CMU and was a national qualifier in track.
