Lamoni, IA - Head track and field coach Daniel Alvarado is pleased to announce the signing of Lindsey Hastings to the 2012-13 squad.

Hastings, a native of Shenandoah, Iowa, prepped at Shenandoah High School under the tutelage of Jon Skillern. During her time as a Fillies, Hastings also competed on the girl's softball and volleyball programs.

"One thing that makes Lindsey stick out is her ability to do whatever it takes to get better," Alvarado noted. "She is the type of athlete that will bring out the best in her teammates and is a team player when it comes to getting things done in track and the classroom."

Hastings is a three time state qualifier for the Iowa High School State Track Meet. She will be a sprinting and hurdling for the Yellowjackets and comes with a great academic resume also as she will be coming in with some college credits and a several All Academic team honors.

Hastings, the daughter of Tim and Colleen, will look to major in Athletic Training during her time in Lamoni.
