Game 2
Avila University
Kansas City, MO - The Graceland softball team took game one by a score of 2-0 before a four-run sixth inning capped of a 6-5 come-from-behind win.

Graceland used a pair of one-run innings in the fifth and sixth in game one to squeak past the host Eagles. Christina Bradley picked up the four-hit shutout and handed in a complete game.

Sophia Ringsdorf posted a 2-for-3 game with an RBI while Whitney Carrall, Staci Ritchey, and Cheryl Iddings each contributed with a hit. Iddings recorded the second RBI in the game.

In game two, Alyssa Greenstreet picked up the victory but not without getting roughed up. Greenstreet allowed six hits and five earned runs en route to the victory before Christina Bradley came in and finished the final two outs of the contest.

The Jackets jumped on top early, putting up a two-spot in the first inning before Avila scored the next five runs, including a four-spot in the bottom of the third. Graceland would respond, however, with a big sixth inning, sending four players around to score, jumping back on top for good, 6-5.

Carrall had a monster game, going 3-for-4 and knocking in a pair of runs. Tiffany Craig also went 3-for-4, scoring three RBIs. Sydney Smith added the final run batted in.

Graceland moves to 15-12 overall in the 2012 campaign, upping its HAAC record to a perfect 6-0. The Jackets will be back in action on Wednesday (April 11) when it travels to Atchison, Kan. to take on Benedictine College in HAAC action.
