Lamoni, IA - The Graceland University men's soccer program is proud to announce the recent signing of West African native Sandaly Traore to the Jackets 2011 roster.

Originally from Guinea Conaky, Traore now resides in Atlanta, GA with his family and attends North Clayton High School where he has been the starting striker for the Eagles since his freshman year. During his tenure as an Eagle, Traore accumulated many honors including Rookie of the Year in his freshman year, Best Offensive Player in his sophomore and junior years while also averaging 19 goals per season and carrying a 3.66 GPA.

In addition to his athletic achievements, Sandaly has been recognized for his academic commitment by being named a member of the National Honor Society, the Clayton Youth Leaders and Honor Roll for all four years of high school.

When asked about his newest recruit, Head Coach Sanchez explained that, "Sandaly will add more speed to our attack, he is a player that will come in and learn the defensive side of the game in order to become a stronger player overall. His academics also speak highly of his commitment and we hope that he continues his success here at Graceland."

Son to Mamady Traore and Dissa Sacko and brother to Damou and Cire, Sandaly plans on studying Biology while at Graceland.

Congratulations Sandaly, and welcome to the Yellowjackets athletics family.
