North Sioux City, SD – For their third race of the season, the Graceland University cross country program traveled northwest to North Sioux City, South Dakota to take on 14 other programs in Briar Cliff's Cross Country Invitational.
The morning started out with rainy weather conditions pushing the races later by one hour, but that didn't stop sophomore Kami Tabor from keeping on pace. Tabor ran a quick 20:06.65, although not first she was in the top ten percent of runners crossing the finish line at 13th.
Graceland did not have enough runners finish to score a team place. Other runners that represented Graceland's women's program include senior Marina Flores, who ran the race in 23:32.36, junior Taylor Farnsworth who crossed the line at 24:30.71, and Freshman Valerya Galindo who finished in 28:20.24.
The men's cross country program were met by an exceptionally strong collection of 146 other runners from 13 other programs, also including a good amount of unattached runners. Senior Zacary Stetzel led the charge for the Yellowjackets. Stetzel finished the course in 29:34.55, with senior Jeremiah Reynolds only 16 seconds behind him crossing the line at 29:50.63.
