Maryville, MO – After a wet first day, Graceland University men's golf came back out on the second day and struggled to find their rhythm. Their two day total of 632 puts them in the seventh position at the Southwestern Premier.
Park University held onto their lead with a knockout day two, posting a combined score of 593. Park University was the only team to have a single day team score below 300. Iowa Central Blue (616) comes in at second, with North Central Missouri (626) coming in at third.
Graceland's squad of five was led by a pair of Yellowjackets, Logan Currin and Bryce McEachem. Currin (79, 79) and MacEachem (78, 80) tied for 16th both carding a 158 for the two days. Closely behind the first tie was a second tie between Graceland's Tim Brunner (81, 80) and Mark Fink (77, 84). Brunner and Fink both tallied 161 for the event putting them 17 over par. The last golf of the five man team, Steven Shaw (75, 87) was only one stroke behind Fink and Brunner, at a combined score of 162.
Graceland's two golfers who shot individually, Jordan Lester and Blake Rose, both had strong consistent play. Lester shot an 83 for the second day, three strokes stronger than the previous day, totally 169. Rose (85, 86) was only two strokes behind recording a combined 171.
