CRESTON, IA - It was a very wet day for the Graceland University men's golf program at the Southwestern Premier. Graceland was supposed to play 36 holes, but were rained out in the middle of the second round.
Topping the leaderboard after the first day of compeition is Park University with a 306. Following just a few strokes behind in second and third is GRaceland University (309) and Iowas Central Community Colllege (310).
Graceland sent a team of five and two individual players to the event. Steven Shaw led the team shooting a solid 75, one of the best overall scores of the day. Mark Fink and Bryce McEachern follow closely behind, turning in scorecards of 77 and 78 respectively. A 79 on the day was posted by Logan Currin, as Tim Brunner rounded out the top five golfers with an 81.
Graceland's golf team will hope to play their second round of golf at the Southwestern Premier today at 9 a.m.
