Forest City, IA – Graceland's women's golf program was back on the road for another invitational, finishing fifth at the Waldorf Invite on a brisk, rainy day.
On their home turf Waldorf University took first place with a hungry Des Moines Area Community College close on their heels. At the end of the Invitational Waldorf had shot a 353, while Des Moines Area Community College was only trailing by three strokes reporting a 356 for the invitiational.
The lady Yellowjackets were still competing one golfer short at this tournament. Jenna Cole is still recovering from an injury she sustained earlier this week at another invitational. Julia Austin stepped up to lead the yellowjackets' squad reporting a 101 for her invitational total. Karli Smith was next on Graceland's score card finishing her day out with a 118. Next you'll find Sierra Marshall who tallied 124 on the day, followed by Dora Martz who shot a 126.
This marks the beginning of the second half of their fall season. You have two more opportunities to catch your Yellowjacket golfers in action. You'll be able to find them on their home course in Lamoni, during homecoming on Friday October 13th. After that you can catch them back on the road for the two day Baker Invitational in Lawrence, KS, October 18th and 19th.
