LAMONI, IA - Men's volleyball coach Jake Mattern has announced the addition of Jeminae Solomua for the upcoming season.
"We are excited to be bringing on an athlete like Jemiane into the program," remarked Mattern. "He is a very talented pin attacker, and truly is a six rotation player. He has the right tools to be both an offensive threat as well as being a key defensive and serve receive player. His addition to our program is going to make us that much stronger on the pins as well as continue to strengthen our transition game. Not only is he a great athlete he is an exceptional student in the classroom and just the right type of young man we want in our program and at our university."
Jeminae will arrive at Graceland University following his successful high school career at Waipahu High School in Waipahu, HI. In high school, he played various sports including football, basketball, and volleyball.
Solomua was also a member of the Student Board of Directors, and the Student Government.
Jemiane is the son of Feeurai and Lani Solomua. He will arrive in the fall and looks to join the Biology program at Graceland.
The Graceland University Athletic Department and the men's volleyball program are excited to have Jeminae join the Yellowjackets for next year, and are looking forward to watching him rise through the college rankings in his collegiate volleyball career.
